释义	东江①一名上江（《史记·夏本纪·正义》）。古代太湖尾闾之一。晋顾夷《吴地记》、庾阐《扬都赋注》、《史记》张守节正义皆以此为《书·禹贡》三江之一。故道自太湖之东七十里三江口分松江经今澄湖、白蚬湖东南入海。②今广东北江上游浈水的古称。一称东溪。又因在始兴县境内，也称始兴水。
