释义	镰古代收割用的农具。石器时代有用石或蚌壳制成的石镰、蚌镰，至青铜时代有青铜镰。中国青铜镰的出现不晚于春秋早期。青铜镰一般为片状弯月形，有的刃部有齿。另有一种为片状，拱背，有孔穿绳后套握手掌上，用以摘割禾穗，后世俗称爪镰，盛行于战国时期。战国以后出现铁镰。
