常识	代数学
释义	代数学书名。英国德摩根（Augustus de Morgan，1806—1871）原著。清李善兰与英国伟烈亚力合译。十三卷。内容包括代数方程、方程组、指数函数、对数函数及幂级数展开式等。是中国第一部符号代数学译本。西方通用的数学符号，如＝、×、÷、（）、、＞、＜、……在书中被引用，但＋、－被译作⊥、，1、2、3、4、……则改为一、二、三、四、……，二十六个英文字母以中国传统的十天干十二地支外加天、地、人、物四元表示。上海墨海书馆咸丰九年（1859）初刊。
