释义	白衣大食即大食倭马亚王朝。唐龙朔元年（661），叙利亚总督摩阿维亚创立的阿拉伯伊斯兰教封建国家，都大马士革。唐称之为白衣大食，因崇尚白色，故名。与唐联系密切。高宗、武后时，皆有信使往来。天宝九载（750）为阿拔斯王朝（即黑衣大食）推翻。
