常识	沙苑监
释义	沙苑监①官署名。唐时属太仆寺。长官为监，从六品下。掌牧养陇右群牧牛羊等，以供宴会、祭祀及尚食局取用，每岁与典牧署分月供给。其地在冯翊（治今陕西大荔）南。中唐后成为重要育马场之一。唐末废。宋乾德三年（965）复置。金废。②官名。唐代太仆寺沙苑监长官。置一员，从六品下。
