释义	夔州路（1）北宋咸平四年（1001）分峡路置，为川峡四路之一。治夔州（治今重庆奉节县）。辖境相当今四川万源、达县，重庆垫江、璧山、綦江等市、县以东，贵州遵义、湄潭、镇远等市、县以北，湖北建始、五峰等县以西，并“羁縻”今贵州贵阳、都匀、安顺、独山、榕江等市、县间诸州。元初废。（2）元至元十五年（1278）升夔州置。治奉节县（今属重庆）。属四川南道宣慰司。辖境相当今四川万源、达县，重庆梁平等市、县以东和湖北恩施、利川、建始等市、县地。明洪武四年（1371）改为府。
