类乌齐的德曲颇章神山，俗称“类乌齐”，在藏语中为大山的意思，由山名演变成县名，这就是类乌齐县城名字的来历。该山在类乌齐镇旁，距县城30公里。这里山清水秀，环境优美，鸟语花香，流水淙淙，可谓"时时闻鸟语，处处是泉水"。在藏历六月十五日的时候，远近农牧民穿上节日盛装、背上充裕的糌粑、牛肉、青稞酒或藏白酒，扶老携幼，朝拜神山。
