景点简介：
西湖在桂林城西、隐山与西山之间。水面面积原有700多亩，碧波荡漾，称为西湖。据载，天下西湖三十六，以桂林西湖为大。1988年辟西山公园，尽量扩充水面至70余亩，虽未及昔日可与杭州西湖媲美，但缭绕萦回五六里，仍可结伴泛舟，荡漾于山光水碧、荷香涟漪之中，纵歌遏云，曼舞临水，为他山所不可企及。
